In light of the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we want to reassure everyone that we are working with local, county and state health officials to ensure the safety of everyone we serve.

Visitors and Public

DHR Health is committed to the health and wellbeing of our community.

In light of the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we want to reassure everyone that we are working with local, county and state health officials to ensure the safety of everyone we serve.

As such, we are initiating new visitor policies to safeguard patients and staff.

• Effective immediately and until further notice no visitors will be allowed with the exception of 1 visitor per patient per day for pediatric patients and laboring mothers

• Only 1 visitor will be allowed to stay overnight with our pediatric patients and laboring mothers

• All visitors to the hospital will be screened by answering a series of questions about recent travel and current health.

A la luz del brote global de COVID-19 (Coronavirus), queremos asegurarles a todos que estamos trabajando con funcionarios oficiales de la salud estatales, locales, condados para garantizar la seguridad de todos los que les servimos.

Employee Screening

In an effort to keep all of our patients and employees safe and reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, DHR Health is screenings all employees before they report to work. All employees will have their temperature checked for signs of fever and will be asked the following questions:


  • Do you have a new onset of cough or shortness of breath?

  • Have you traveled recently out of the area?

  • Have you or any of your family members been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19?

Healthcare Heroes

Our staff is hard at work keeping our community safe and continuing to provide quality health care to the Rio Grande Valley. You can protect our healthcare heroes by continuing to follow city and state ordinances to help slow the spread of COVID-19. By staying home and practicing social distancing, you are keeping the Rio Grande Valley safe. With your help, we can all be healthcare heroes.
