For The Patient

Take a more active role in your health and know the benefits of participating in a clinical trial. Participants in clinical trials have access to new research treatment and medications before they are widely available. By participating in trials, patients are able to contribute to medical research that will then help the general community and beyond.

Learn more about the "I’m In" Campaign!

The "I’m In" campaign was initiated to bring awareness to the lack of participation of historically underrepresented minorities in clinical trials including Women, Hispanics, African Americans, and Asian Americans. Together with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufactures of America (PhRMA), the National Minority Quality Forum embarked on this campaign with various Minority Serving Institutions including Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.

We at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance are excited about the opportunity to work together with the I’m In champions throughout the nation to truly impact the medical research process by emphasizing the importance of diversity and the role we each play in bettering the health of those around us. As with any issue, its impact becomes more meaningful when it’s local and it affects our lives and the lives of those we know and love. By increasing participation of populations typically underrepresented in clinical trials, not only can researchers gain knowledge of how a comprehensive participant pool reacts to medications and treatment, but they can learn more about how to address specific diseases that disproportionately affect certain ethnic or racial groups.

Are YOU IN? Please visit the "I’m In" website to learn how you can participate.
