Continuing Medical Education

The Continuing Medical Education Committee at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance mission is to educate physician and staff to create knowledge by promoting and facilitating excellence in CME.

 The Mission of The Continuing Education is two-fold:
  1. To establish an on going process of education for physician and allied health professionals that fosters the individual’s commitment to life-long learning, optimal development and the maintenance of medical knowledge and skills.
  2. To enhance the ability of the physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellence in patient care, health maintenance, disease prevention with resultant improved outcomes of care of the patient population. 
 The content areas of primary importance in considering CME topics at DHR will be driven by systematic needs assessment that leads to higher standards of patient care and services consistent with the current health care environment and focused on up-dating physician and staff on new and emerging technologies and treatment as they relate to medical therapies, surgical interventions and diagnostic imaging since family practice and a diversity of specialization are represented within the facility.  We will also provide programs addressing educational needs for those areas and will not be limited to:

Our Goals: 
To present new knowledge and its application to various levels of healthcare and disease prevention.
Our activities are based on the audiences of health care providers activities and are targeted to keep their knowledge and skills at the highest possible levels commensurate with the standards of excellence at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.
To measure the needs of our physician audience through educational needs and ultimately outcomes.  

To meet or exceed the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.(ACCME) and the guidelines of the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award System.  

We target all physicians and other healthcare professionals. Our offerings are intended to enhance physician and other healthcare professionals, by training in a manner that will possibly affect professional knowledge with the goal of improving patient care.
