Hospital Access & Parking
A uniformed security representative is available to escort you to the parking area after dark. To arrange an escort or to report any suspicious activity, call the Security department at extension 7911.
For the safety of all patients, visitors and team members, the hospital’s Safety and Security department patrols the campus 24 hours a day. Every night at 8:00 PM, a number of doors into the hospital are locked. All doors locked at night will be unlocked at 5:30 AM the next morning. After 8:00 PM, visitors will be able to exit the hospital, but will not be able to re-enter. The Emergency entrance is the only door that stays open.
Parking is available in front of the main entrance and on the east and west sides of the hospital.
For your convenience, we offer free valet parking. You may access this service by driving up to the main entrance located on Dove Avenue. After hours call Security at 362-7911.
For your comfort, all patient suites are equipped with a state-of- the-art hospital bed. All rooms are also equipped with air conditioning and heating. If you have any trouble with your bed or the temperature in your room, call the Engineering Department at extension 7922. After 5:00 PM, call 342-6320 or 342-0215.
Electrical appliances including hair dryers, curling irons, razors, radios, heating pads, portable heaters, VCRs, computers, and other devices are not permitted in patient rooms. You may use only battery-operated devices.
We periodically conduct fire drills. If you hear an alarm, stay where you are. In the event of an actual emergency, hospital staff will notify you.
Food and Nutrition Meals
Doctors Hospital at Renaissance currently uses a “Catering to You” program. A hospitality assistant will visit every patient to read menu selections prior to each meal. We also provide courtesy beverage rounds after each meal service. Menus are tailored to meet your special dietary needs according to your doctor’s orders. Our goal is to provide great food and great service, along with great hospitality. Please notify us at extension 7802 if we have not met your needs.
Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is committed to keeping our hospital clean and in compliance with hospital standards. If at any time you need to contact the housekeeping department, call extension 7917.

Smoking is allowed in designated areas only.
A 24-hour ATM is located on the first floor of the hospital.
Guest Relations Department
The Guest Relations Department is located on the first floor of the hospital. If you have any concerns or complaints regarding the care or services you have received, please call extension 7275.
Mail & Flowers
Mail and packages will be delivered to you by a hospital Ambassador. Individual florists deliver flowers to patient rooms. Please note that flowers are prohibited in intensive care units. Patient mail received after discharge will be forwarded to the patient’s home.
Outgoing mail may be taken to the nursing station or given to your attending nurse. Postage stamps are available in the gift shops, which are located at the Women’s Hospital at Renaissance and in the DHR main lobby located in the Women’s Hospital at Renaissance lobby and on the first floor of Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.

Patient Home Medication Initiative
Doctors Hospital at Renaissance would like to encourage patients to use their own home medications in their original labeled container upon admission.
By using your own home medications at the hospital, you will be able to leave with the same medications and/or prescription when leaving, unless your attending physician makes changes to your medication dosage or completely removes it from your list.
Having an accurate home medication reconciliation gives us a greater opportunity to improve your health outcome when visiting our facility.
