The time spent with the lactation consultants and our trained staff will help you feel more comfortable and confident with your breast feeding experience. Childbirth education classes are offered to all expecting mothers. Our friendly and certified birthing educators from our highly-experienced labor and delivery nursing staff cover a variety of topics, such as what to expect during labor, relaxation and breathing techniques and healthy prenatal and postpartum lifestyles. NEW! Lamaze classes
The Women’s Hospital at Renaissance is proud to offer the only certified Lamaze class in the Rio Grande Valley! Held for four (4) consecutive weeks, the Lamaze class meets every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the WHR Outpatient Conference Room. A minimum of six couples is required for the class.
Lamaze philosophy of birth: “birth is normal, natural and healthy.”
The goal of the Lamaze class at the Women’s Hospital at Renaissance is to increase a woman’s confidence in her ability to give birth.
