The Women's Hospital at Renaissance

Obstetrics

Last year more women chose to have their babies at The Women’s Hospital at Renaissance than at any other hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. They wanted the one-on-one nursing care that we provide to each laboring patient. From normal pregnancies to high-risk pregnancies, we have the technology and medical expertise to provide the exceptional care each of our patients needs. There is always a board-certified OB/Gyn in the hospital - just in case. We also have Anesthesiologists and Neonatologists here around the clock.

The Women’s Hospital at Renaissance specializes in high-risk prenatal care. The Women’s Hospital at Renaissance has a comprehensive antepartum unit where women, who must spend part of their pregnancy on bed rest, receive special attention. Each mother is cared for as an individual at WHR. The skilled and caring staff works to make your stay comfortable during a time that can be very stressful.

Pre-existing health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure and pulmonary problems can result in a high-risk pregnancy. Other risk factors include mothers who carry multiple babies (twins, triplets, quadruplets or more) and those women who have not been able to carry a pregnancy to term.
