Speech Therapy

Speech and Language Pathology or SLP, for short, completes the picture of the rehabilitation team. SLP’s are able to assist patients with one of life’s greatest pleasure: eating. SLP’s are able to evaluate, assess and treat swallowing disorders, memory disorders, cognitive impairment and the ability to speak. SLP’s are able to assist patients and their families understand, communicate and provide compensatory techniques in order for the patient and their families to better understand each other. SLP’s allow patients to regain the small pleasures in life, such as eating, and recollecting memories.
