The Renaissance Behavioral Center, a newly developed inpatient behavioral health facility, will celebrate its inaugural ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, December 10, 2007, at 2:00 PM, with special keynote speaker, United States Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony which will be immediately followed by an open-house presentation of the state of the art facility. State, county and local officials will be on hand to participate in the ceremony and take a first hand look at the facility and acknowledge the premium services that will be available. Congressman Patrick Kennedy assisted in the introduction of a key piece of legislation that assists and improves the overall health of all Americans by granting greater access to mental health and addiction treatment while prohibiting health insurers from placing discriminatory restrictions on this vital and necessary treatment.
"We created the Renaissance Behavioral Center to meet the needs of a wide range of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children, adults and families," states Marissa Castañeda, Chief Operations Officer of Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. The 60,000 square foot, 80-bed Renaissance Behavioral Center will provide both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programs for both adults and children. Specially trained physicians and staff will evaluate and treat patients for depression, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychotic and personality disorders in a safe and secure environment.
