First Baby Born Rings in the New Year at The Women’s Hospital at Renaissance

EDINBURG, TX The first baby delivered in 2010 at the Women’s Hospital at Renaissance was at 12:02 AM.  The baby boy, Raeden Vela, son of Sammy Vela and Alma Flores Vela from Edinburg, Texas, weighed 6 lbs. pounds and 11 ounces, and measured 19.75 inches long. Mother and son are doing well according to Obstetrician, Dr. G. Kiani. Gifts presented on behalf of the hospital included an assortment of balloons and flower arrangement from The Women’s Hospital Gift Shop, a gift basket full of supplies and baby necessities, a complimentary photo shoot by Colbath Photography and a Sony Handycam Video Recorder.
